The SuperBowl is over, and the Green Bay Packers are nursing hangovers whilst the Pittsburgh Steelers are nursing their egos. For those who don’t care about football, there’s always the commercials, which are supposed to be the best of the best. As usual, this year there were some gems… as well as some companies that massively wasted their $3 million. Groupon got into big trouble for their Free Tibet-related ad, and people tsk-ed at Eminem’s involvement with Chrysler AND Brisk.
The biggest ad buzz was definitely for this Volkswagen commercial, featuring a pint-sized Darth Vader. It’s only been up on YouTube for five days, and it already has 17 million hits:
