Shaw TV Yule Log on The Daily Show + super annoying/awesome Giga Pudding ad

Residents of Victoria, BC and across Canada will be familiar with Shaw TV’s beloved holiday log (on channel 11 in Victoria). Shaw TV airs a burning log during the holiday season, which my mom loves to put on for hours every day to make the house feel cozy.

Unbeknownst to me, Steve Carrell did a report on the Shaw log for the Daily Show some years back. I don’t know when this clip is from – 2009? or earlier? – but it sure is great.

I’m a big fan of advertising. Good ads done right are so satisfying. Then there’s another category of ads that are just plain weird. Giga Pudding!

    Oh yeah, I was on /B/ the day of the pudding strife. Amazing how memes can happen just because some moderator does this.
