Desert Bus wraps after 141 hours and $200,000

On Saturday Nov 20th, I wrote about Desert Bus for Hope, LoadingReadyRun’s marathon gaming fundraiser for Child’s Play. Yesterday, at 3:00pm, after almost six full days of Desert Bus-ing and $200,000 raised, the Desert Bus marathon finally came to an end. Elated, exhausted, and probably rather sick of driving a bus, LoadingReady Run tweeted:

Desert Bus 2010 comes to a close, with E-Cheques yet to clear we should easily clear 200,000.00 this year. THANK YOU EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU

Not surprisingly, the 4th Desert Bus marathon raised more money than ever. It also saw heaps of guest celebs popping in (including uber-geek Wil Wheaton), prizes auctioned off, and geeks clustering around screens to watch other geeks looking at screens. Why not.
