Tim Minchin: Matilda and other stuff

You may have heard of Tim Minchin. He’s rather ‘in’ right now, as comedians go.

Tim Minchin is an Australian musical comedian, currently based in London, UK. He is famous for his back-combed hair, eyeliner, lack of shoes, and songs such as ‘If You Open Your Mind Too Much Your Brain Will Fall Out’ and ‘Ten Foot Cock and a Few Hundred Virgins.’ In other words, he’s not for the easily offended. But he *is* one of the most talented comedians on the circuit.

So that I don’t scare you off if you’re new to Minchin, here’s a mostly innocent clip of his song ‘Inflatable You’:

Minchin recently wrote the music to a musical version of Roald Dahl’s ‘Matilda.’ Created by the Royal Shakespeare Company, it starts next week in Stratford-upon-Avon. Minchin wrote about it on his blog, and here’s the teaser vid:
